The Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC) on Sunday said it rolled out free vaccines for its employees in the Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions at the power plant site of subsidiary FDC Misamis Power Corporation (FDC Misamis) in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
The inoculation program, which was held on Aug. 24, 26 and 27, administered the first dose of British-Swedish AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to its employees at the power plant.
Francis Gotianun, director of Filinvest Land Inc., said their goal is to fully vaccinate 15,000 employees within their firm on or before the fourth quarter of this year.
“Keeping our employees, third-party providers, and clients safe is a top priority in ensuring that our communities, workspaces, and business interfaces are safe and healthy for all,” he said in a statement.
The FDC Misamis vaccination center will inoculate more than 600 workers and partners, catering to power plant personnel and those from One Oasis CDO, EastWest Bank, and TROO from the provinces of Bukidnon, Surigao del Norte, and Agusan del Norte.
The firm has so far procured 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. — Consuelo Marquez/BM, GMA News
