Pump prices will be hiked for the sixth straight week on Tuesday, as firms announced big-time increases of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P1.45, diesel by P2.05, and kerosene by P2.05.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, except for Caltex which will implement the adjustments at 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) show that year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P15.10 per liter for gasoline, P12.95 per liter for diesel, and P10.65 per liter for kerosene as of September 28, 2021. — RSJ, GMA News
