Testing czar Vivencio “Vince” Dizon has resigned from his post as president of the Bases and Conversion Development Authority (BCDA).
During the Senate’s deliberation on Monday on the proposed P6.487-billion budget of the BCDA for 2022, Senator Sonny Angara asked if Dizon already quit from his position.
In response, BCDA executive vice president Aileen Zosa confirmed Dizon’s resignation which was effective last October 15.
“The resignation letter of President Vince Dizon to the President has an effectivity date [of] October 15,” Zosa said.
Angara also asked if Dizon’s resignation had been accepted or if it was irrevocable, to which Zosa answered in the affirmative.
She said Dizon would continue to be part of the national government’s team addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is correct. I think this is an irrevocable resignation but he will stay in the Cabinet for the anti-COVID efforts of the government,” Zosa said. —KG, GMA News
