
Oil firms have announced another big-time price hike in the pump prices of gasoline starting Tuesday to mark the tenth straight week of increases, while those of diesel and kerosene will be rolled back.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P1.15, while reducing diesel by P0.35 and kerosene by P0.30.
Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 4:01 p.m., and Caltex at 12:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P20.80 per liter for gasoline, P18.45 per liter for diesel, and P16.04 per liter for kerosene as of October 26, 2021.—AOL, GMA News
