PAL increases domestic flights for holiday season

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines on Thursday said it is increasing frequency of its flights across its domestic route network in anticipation of increase in travel demand amid the holiday season.

For Luzon, PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the airline is gradually reopening flights to Basco via four flights this December.

For the Visayas, she said that “flights between Manila and Iloilo will increase from nine to 14 flights weekly, effective December 10.”

Meanwhile flights between Manila and Bacolod will increase from seven to 14 flights weekly, effective December 16.

“There are currently eight daily flights between Manila and Cebu versus five daily flights in November,” Villaluna said.

“We have twice daily Manila-Tagbilaran-Manila flights and twice weekly Davao – Tagbilaran flights. From Iloilo, one can fly to Cebu, Davao and General Santos,” she added.

The PAL spokesperson added that the airline’s Manila – Zamboanga – Manila frequency is now at six flights weekly while Manila-Davao-Manila is now at 28 flights weekly.

“Flights on the Manila-GenSan-Manila route is now at seven flights weekly,” she said.—LDF, GMA News
