Fuel prices are expected to further increase in the coming week, according to Unioil Petroleum Philippines’ predictions on Saturday.
In its fuel price forecast for February 1 to 7, Unioil said diesel prices would increase by P0.70 to P0.80 per liter.
Likewise, gasoline prices may go up by P0.70 to P0.80 per liter.
Oil firms implemented an increase in pump prices of petroleum products last Tuesday, the fourth straight week of increases.
Latest data from the Department of Energy indicate that year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P2.60 per liter for gasoline, P3.50 per liter for diesel, and P2.74 per liter for kerosene as of January 11, 2022. — DVM, GMA News
