Cebu Pacific on Friday announced the resumption of its flights to Hong Hong after the country lifted the ban on the entry of passengers from nine countries, including the Philippines.
Starting April 1, 2022, Cebu Pacific said it will operate the followings flights:
5J 272 Manila – Hong Kong
5J 114 Manila – Hong Kong
The airline also released guidelines for passengers traveling from Manila to Hong Kong.
Cebu Pacific said only the following passengers will be accepted for flight:
- Hong Kong residents
- Holders of HK Special Administrative Region (SAR) passport or British National (Overseas) passport (with right of abode in Hong Kong)
- Individuals with HKG Document of Identity
“Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) with Hong Kong work visas are considered as Hong Kong residents,” it said.
“Non-residents will not be accepted for flight,” it added.
Those exempted from entry restrictions are the following:
- Passengers travelling from Mainland China, Taiwan or Macao SAR and have not been to other countries/regions in the past 14 days
- Diplomatic / official passport holders (subject to prevailing visa requirements)
- Spouse and children of Hong Kong residents
- Local government personnel performing official duties
- Passenger holding new entry visa to work, study, establish or join in any business, or take up residence in Hong Kong
- Personnel approved by the Hong Kong SAR government to carry out anti-epidemic work
Those allowed to enter Hong Kong must provide pertinent documents in English or Chinese.
For fully vaccinated guests with a recognized vaccination record, the following are the required documents:
- Negative PCR-based nucleic acid test for COVID-19, conducted within 48 hours before the scheduled time of departure. The test report must show the name of the traveler and there must be documentary proof to show that the laboratory or healthcare institution is ISO 15189 accredited or is recognized or approved by the relevant authority of the government
- Confirmation of room reservation in a hotel in Hong Kong for seven or 14 nights, in a designated quarantine hotel
- Recognized Vaccination Record issued by a healthcare institution or a relevant authority of the Government of Hong Kong, the Mainland, or a country where its national regulatory authority is designated by the World Health Organization
“The Hong Kong government recognizes the ‘International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis’ issued by the Philippine Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), also known as ‘Yellow Card’,” Cebu Pacific said.
“VaxCertPH is also accepted,” it added.
The airline noted that fully vaccinated means that the suggested dosage has been administered in accordance with the relevant guidelines of a COVID-19 vaccination course, at least 14 days prior to arrival at Hong Kong.
“For travelers who have recovered from previous COVID-19 infection, they will be required to receive one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to be considered as fully vaccinated,” Cebu Pacific said.
The budget carrier said requirements may change from time to time without prior notice.
