Online grocery shopping startup Pushkart.ph is partnering with supermarkets and department store chain operator Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. to further expand its services to provinces outside Metro Manila.
In a news release, Pushkart.ph said it plans to bring its operations and services to Cavite and Pampanga through its partnership with Metro Retail within the third quarter.
Pushkart.ph is the first homegrown startup acquired by NASDAQ-listed Southeast Asian loyalty and analytics platform Society Pass Inc. (SoPa).
“We aim to offer a more personalized online shopping experience and boost the retail value chain in the country by maximizing SoPa’s technology. With its support, we plan to expand to more key cities in Visayas and Mindanao, and eventually in other parts of Southeast Asia,” said Pushkart.ph president and CEO Mike Lim.
Pushkart.ph is currently present in all cities in Metro Manila as well as in some parts of Rizal such as Cainta, Lower Antipolo, and Taytay, where it has partnerships with supermarket chains Fisher Retail Inc. and Metro Supermarket.
It has a tie-up with RSVP Shoppers Mart or Reysal Supermarket in Laguna.
Pushkart.ph said its strategic partnerships allow its shoppers to have access to the priority lane when checking out, which effectively cuts their time inside supermarkets.
Meanwhile, Pushkart.ph is holding a month-long “Super Sale” so customers can enjoy the convenience of food and grocery shopping for a relatively cheaper price with just a few clicks on their laptops or mobile phones.
From June 27 to July 31, customers can get up to a 10% discount on groceries at Metro Supermarket and Fisher Supermarket.
Another 20% cut on the original prices of goods from Pushkart.ph’s specialty stores and food merchants also await patrons. —VBL, GMA News
